It is ever so often that you come across a record that broadens your listening experience by incorporating countless distinct layers. Your music player is forced to remain in repeat mode, while you satisfy your musical appetite and grasp every sonic, melodic, and lyrical element. This is what happens when people become exposed to the audible art of Sartorial Sounds’ “Take Off Your Cool.” The song’s wordplay is painted through the use of spoken word, rap, and singing, which creates a visual imagery in one’s mind, hence audible art. The members in this group, all artists in their own right, epitomize a thing of beauty.

Their motto: “Sartorial Sounds integrates both music and style, two elements embedded in every culture past and present. We think it’s important to remember that everyone is an artist in their own right. And it’s the life experiences we encounter that provoke what we splash on our own blank canvas. We assembled seven individuals to partake in this editorial. The finished product incorporates their individual talents such as spoken word, rapping, singing and tap.”

Watch the video below as each member of Sartorial Sounds tells you who they are and their definition of artistic creativity, while portions of their “Take Off Your Cool” jam session plays in the background.
